Cheerleading

A talented group of Ashland University Eagle Cheerleaders provide the lift and energy for Eagle athletes and fans at all football games and all home basketball games. The varsity squad also accompanies the teams to any NCAA tournament games. Each girl on the varsity squad is awarded a $500 scholarship.

The junior varsity squad has eight female members that cheer at all home football games and all home women's basketball games. No traveling is required.

All cheerleaders attend a summer UCA stunting camp held here at Ashland University to learn and sharpen their skills. Following camp, in preparation for the upcoming season, practice is held before classes resume.

Ashland University participates in NCAA Division II athletics and is a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

eagle elite dance team

A cast of fourteen women form the Ashland University Eagle Elite Dance Team. This energetic and rhythmic team entertains the crowds at all men's home basketball games with a variety of jazz, hip hop and pom dances.

The past three summers, a two-day dance camp has been held at Ashland University for the team to learn and sharpen their skills in preparation for a great season. This years squad will remain on campus after camp to attend two all day practices before classes resume to prepare for their upcoming season.
