Community Care is the student-led service organization on Ashland University's campus. We have seven teams of students devoted to a specific cause or interest area, and we're always looking to add new teams based on student interests.
Currently our group is made up of the Adopt-a-Grandparent, Crisis Crew, Habitat for Humanity, Hunger, PAW (Peers for Animal Welfare) and Youth & Literacy teams. These teams plan and execute service projects, fundraisers and awareness events at the local, regional and national levels.
Some of our events include: local visits to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home where we host a "Senior" Prom, a Middle School Book Club, a CROP Walk for hunger, Swim for Diabetes, Habitat for Humanity's Alternative Spring Break trip and many more!
Students are welcomed and encouraged to participate in an individual event or to dedicate time to one or more teams. Participation in Community Care will give you opportunities in event planning, fundraising, marketing and public relations.
