Partners Reaching Out for Ultimate Development
PROUD is Ashland University's tutoring and mentoring program that matches Ashland University students with at-risk students in the Ashland City Schools.
If you choose to participate in PROUD, you will meet with your individual student for two hours per week for the entire academic year. During these sessions, you will have the opportunity not only to help your student with school work, but also to be a positive influence in his or her life. Your one-on-one contact promotes healthy self-esteem and improved academic achievement.
The PROUD program is a great chance for education majors to gain in-classroom experience and interact with a variety of professionals in the education field. But, PROUD is not just for education majors-we have a number of tutors from other majors that truly love their experience!
Applications for the 2010-2011 academic year are no longer being accepted. Please contact us in the spring for an application for 2011-2012!
