Not only are there various leadership opportunities available to Greek members within their chapters, but Greek members often seek leadership roles all over campus through athletics, internship, and involvement with other campus organizations. A Greek experience can help an Ashland University student grow into an effective leader and become more marketable for employment upon graduation.
Emerging Greek Leaders Summit
The Greek Life Office is committed to providing values-based leadership opportunities to Greek students through programs such as the Emerging Greek Leaders Summit (EGLS). EGLS provides freshmen and sophomore participants the opportunity to grow and strengthen their leadership skills through a combination of small and large group discussions and activities. Participants have the opportunity to learn from the program facilitators, who are current Greek leaders in the community. The objective is to give participants the tools to arm themselves to become successful leaders in their organizations, Greek community, and Ashland University community in the future. EGLS takes place each spring semester.
