Scholarship is an important aspect of Greek Life at Ashland University.
Membership in Greek chapters is an excellent way for students to stay focused and committed to academic excellence. All chapters at Ashland University have a variety of scholarship programs and incentives to assist members in achieving scholastic goals and standards such as academic resources, study tables, and scholarships. To join a Greek organization, a student must have a 2.5 cumulative grade point average and are expected to stay above that standard. The all-Greek grade point average is consistently higher than the all-campus average, proving that Greek membership is a great environment for students to continue to grow as scholars.

Greek Honoraries
Greek students have several opportunities for academic recognition through membership in academic honoraries. There are three Greek academic honoraries at Ashland University:
Order of Omega
Order of Omega is an honorary Greek Organization that represents the top 3% of all Greeks on campus and recognizes Greek men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in Interfraternity activities, to encourage them to continue along this line, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment.
Gamma Sigma Alpha
Gamma Sigma Alpha exists to recognize and advance academic excellence as a core value of fraternities and sororities and is developed and coordinated solely by students. Membership in Gamma Sigma Alpha offers opportunities to cultivate leadership skills through officer positions, chapter programming and the national executive board.
Rho Lambda
The purpose of Rho Lambda is to honor those women within the sorority community who have exhibited the highest qualities of leadership and service to their Greek community and their sorority. They are women who have furthered the ideals and principles of the Greek community throughout their years of sorority affiliation.
