In alliance with the mission of Ashland University, Multicultural Student Services supports minority students by providing programs and services that address the cultural and educational growth, thus contributing to their academic success, and enhancing the institutional efforts in retaining and graduating minority students for a diverse world. The goal of the Multicultural Student Services office is to help Ashland's minority students have a fulfilling growth experience both in and outside of class.

Statement From The Director

Our goal here is to help Ashland's minority students to have a fulfilling growth experience both in and outside of the classroom. We attempt to do this through a collaborative effort of students, faculty and staff members who all work together trying to create a more diverse campus. Without the cooperation and vision of many different people this would be impossible. Our office moto. "Eyes on the Prize", embodies my vision of a University Family here at Ashland that stays focused on the ultimate goal of attending an institution of higher education. That is to successfully matriculate through graduation into mainstream society. It is our goal to enhance each students chance for success in today's society by preparing them with the tools needed to thrive in our ever diversifying world community. Focus is a key to perseverance.

In this life it doesn't matter where you've come from, nor are you limited to where you are. The only thing that really matters is the direction in which you are going.
