About & Beliefs
Nurse's Christian Fellowship, a ministry of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, is an organization and a ministry for nursing students. Its mission is to encourage student nurses to bring God's love and healing to nursing and healthcare both locally and internationally. At the College of Nursing, our students have weekly Bible studies, quarterly meetings, and service projects at local medical clinics that minister to the underserved. They also have the opportunity to go to medical mission trips and nursing conferences that have a Biblical basis for nursing care.
Doctrinal Basis of this organization includes classic biblical truths of Christianity:
- The only true God, the almighty Creator of all things, existing eternally in three persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - full of love and glory.
- The unity of all believers in Jesus Christ, manifest in worshipping the witnessing churches making disciples throughout the world.
- Justification by God's grace to all who repent to put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
Membership
Membership and participation in this organization is open to all students and faculty members. Nurse's Christian Fellowship is always looking for new members. This group is open to anyone and everyone who would like to check it out.
Meetings & Activism
Nurse's Christian Fellowship holds Bible studies, for any student or staff member, on Wednesday nights at 8pm in the community room at the College of Nursing dorms. We are open to starting as many different small groups as needed either in Mansfield or at the Ashland University campus.
Nurse's Christian Fellowship members serve the Lord by participating in various volunteer projects such as adopting a room at the Domestic Violence shelter and working at an upcoming fundraiser for the Ashland Clinic. We are always looking for fellowship and ways to serve.
Nurse's Christian Fellowship provides a prayer request box for any student in need of prayer.
