Argentina 2008
Q. Why did you choose to participate on a 2008 Isaiah Project mission trip?
A. I felt like God was pushing this trip on my heart, not only for the experience but for the change.
Q. What did you do on the trip?
A. Wow!...What we did… Although we were not on the MYSTERY trip, I felt like every bit of work we did was spur of the moment and unexpected. Whatever our team could possibly do, we did! We did manual labor, helped at an orphanage, traveled to various places and experienced the diversity of life, worshipped; but most of all, we were able to bless and be blessed by every person we came in contact with. WE MADE A DIFFERENCE!
Q. How did you grow in your journey with the Lord by participating on the Argentina team?
A. I was able to get to know each person’s past, their testimonies and their hopes, joys and ambitions. I love my team. I love seeing the way God has influenced and strengthened our hearts in ways that are unexplainable! I was able to give my heart to God in ways that I didn't think people could... I learned that living in the present is what is necessary.
Q. What was most challenging about the trip?
A. Aside from the communication barriers, it was challenging to see how people lived their lives (orphanage). How families live in homes and how necessities aren’t necessities for some. I loved this trip and was able to find a new found glory and hope for life. And thanks to God, this was possible! Although this trip was challenging, GOD knew that this trip would bring me closer to him! Now I am able to describe people that if you Have Hope to grow in him, he will bring you closer in ways you aren't expecting.
Q. What was most rewarding about the trip?
A. Making a difference! Being able to see the difference in peoples lives! It’s just amazing to feel the love from the people I was able to meet and really get to know! Especially Eduardo and his children (Tomas and Camilla). I’m going back to Argentina! I love them!
Q. Would you recommend this trip or any Isaiah Project mission trip to others?
A. If God is pushing you! Don’t let others pull you away!
