24/7 Prayer is a prayer movement that began in 1999 in England. God gave a vision to Peter Grieg of an army of young people stretching all across the world who would rise up and take a bold stand for their faith. Since that time, God has been moving young people all over the world to engage in nonstop 24/7 prayer. 24/7 Prayer is not a new concept. Non-stop periods of prayer have shown up all throughout Christian history in different times of revival. But God is definitely doing something right now with this generation through this prayer revolution. We at Ashland University have caught on to this worldwide movement and participate in multiple 24/7 Prayer weeks throughout the year. During these times, students sign up for one hour slots of prayer in the Prayer Room so that for one week there is always someone "keeping watch" in prayer.
