Obligations & Awards of the 2010 - 2011 CAS Scholar

Obligations

Participation in the CAS Scholars Program and receipt of the corresponding $1,000 yearly award is contingent upon the scholar:

• Maintaining a major within the College of Arts & Sciences at Ashland University
• Maintaining a 3.3 cumulative GPA during the Scholar's first year at Ashland University, 3.4 cumulative GPA during the second year, and 3.5 cumulative GPA during the third and fourth years.
• Attending planned lectures/discussions and cultural events
• Completing a capstone project

Awards

Scholars will be awarded $1,000 during the fall semester AFTER they are entered into the program.  Scholars will also be awarded $1,000 each year the program obligations are fulfilled, up to a maximum of $3,000.
