The Office of Testing and Licensure office assists education students in the process of obtaining their initial teaching licenses as well as additional teaching and administrative licenses. This process includes presenting important information to the students in their education classes and in seminars. Students are also assisted in the procedures for PRAXIS, GRE, and MAT testing. Personnel within the office
- evaluate potential teachers and administrators in determining the qualifications they need to become licensed
- are a resource for State of Ohio requirements including the renewal and upgrading of licenses
- are available to answer questions concerning licensure and to verify completion of the necessary requirements for the State of Ohio.
Additionally, students may contact Mitchell Slater, PRAXIS Coordinator, for assistance with PRAXIS I and II exams.
The Office of Testing and Licensure is located in 113-114 Dwight Schar building on the Ashland University campus.
