Art Scholarship Awards

Scholarships are available to all students entering an Art program at Ashland University for the academic year. Art awards will be juried by department faculty using the student’s portfolio submission. These merit based scholarship awards will increase the student’s total financial aid package at Ashland University. Please review the Art Scholarship Awards brochure for full details on the portfolio submission process as well as specific criteria for Fine Art scholarships.

Awards of up to $2,500 per year

This can mean up to $10,000 over four years. Awards are renewed each year the student is enrolled at Ashland and meets the following criteria:

• Student must maintain a 2.5 overall GPA
• Student must maintain an art major
• Student must make consistent progress toward building a portfolio of
• quality work
• Student must support both the curricular and extracurricular programs of the Art Department (attendance at gallery receptions and visiting artist lectures/demonstrations, participation in Art Club, etc.)

*NOTE: Scholarship portfolios will be accepted at any time, however, priority will be given to portfolios received before February 15, 2010.
