Educational Opportunities Goal $1.0 million To provide our students with additional educational opportunities including travel to financial markets, participation in student competitions, guest lecturers and professionals on campus, etc. These may include the students going to New York every April to experience the financial district and travel to Dayton, Ohio, to compete in the “Redefining Investment Strategy Education” student-managed portfolio exercise.
Students Support Goal $5.0 million To provide every student who qualifies for the major with financial aid, over and above what they receive from other sources. With the cost of a university education increasing substantially every year, we would provide some relief from the escalating costs. Scholarships could be as little as $1,000 for freshman, but for the seniors, our aspiration is to make up the difference between their total costs and the amount they receive from other sources.
Faculty Support Goal $4.0 million To empower the work of the Institute, the endowment will enable us to bring and maintain highly-qualified faculty to the finance program who will educate students about the changing nature of the world’s financial markets. Faculty will work on research projects with students as we seek to understand the extent and ramification of those changes.
