Youth Indoor Soccer

Are you tired of traveling an hour or more for competitive soccer? Ashland University Department of Recreational Services will be offering an indoor soccer league to the community and surrounding areas.  Team divisions will consist of ages U9/U10 and U11/U12 and will play on Saturday mornings before 12pm. The session will begin January 14 through March 10. Registration Deadline is Friday, January 6. Games will be played in the Recreation Center on the multi-purpose court, an 80 x 120 square foot enclosed, synthetic playing surface with recessed goals.  Sign up today and join the fun!

Community Indoor Soccer League

Games will be played in the Recreation and Sport Sciences Center on the multipurpose court, an 80 x 120 square foot enclosed, synthetic playing surface with recessed goals. Come out and get active inside during the cold winter months.

Leagues: High School (under 19)
                 Adult (19 & Older)       
Cost: $425 per team (10 max team)
Registration Deadline: Friday, January 6, 2011 by 5:00pm
Play Dates: Sundays, January 15 till March 4, 2012
                     Sundays, 8:00am - 1:00pm.

 Climbing Wall

The Climbing Wall, built by Entre Prise, Inc., consists of a 12’ bouldering wall and five 24’ top rope courses to accommodate multiple users of every ability. The “naturals” in the wall actually let the climber use the wall to climb instead of simply using standard climbing holds. To vary the texture, difficulty, and diversity of the routes, our holds come from numerous manufacturing companies and routes are changed as often as possible.

 Ultimate Frisbee Tournament

Description: New for this summer, the Ashland University Department of Recreational Services will be providing an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. This semi-competitive outdoor ultimate Frisbee tournament will give community members the opportunity to play Ultimate Frisbee against other community members, get fit, and have fun.

Ages: 16 and Older

Division: Open

Price: $50 per team (six team minimum)

Dates: August 4 - 5; Registration Deadline – Friday, July 27

Location: Ashland University Recreation Center; IM Field

Additional Information: Teams will be guaranteed two games. There will be a coaches meeting to confirm and review rules, roster limitations, tournament brackets, and other important information prior to the first game of play. Meeting TBD.

High School Dodgeball Tournament

Ages: 16 and Older (High School students only)
Date: Saturday, June 2
Time: 1:00-5:00pm
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, May 26
Price: TBD
Location: Ashland University Recreation Center

All leagues and tournaments are open to all community members.  Sport specific rules are provided to all team captains as well as online.  All leagues and tournaments utilize Ashland University Department Recreational Services' Sportsmanship Guidelines.
