Young Entrepreneurs @ Ashland is a week-long, day program for all students entering grades 8-12, on the campus of Ashland University, in Ashland, Ohio.

July 14- July 18, 2008        9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

dauch college YEA is a comprehensive, interactive program which immerses students in many facets of the business world. While learning by doing, students will grasp the fundamentals of entrepreneurship through engagement and the guided practice of university faculty.

During the program, students will form companies, design and fabricate a new product, develop a sales and marketing campaign, maintain a company financial record and participate in a new product business trade show. Current university entrepreneurial students will serve as mentors to each student company.

trading roomMembers of the local business community will present students real-life business problems. After participating in brainstorming sessions, students will present their solution ideas to the business members.

Students will spend part of each day in Ashland University's state-of-the-art trading room, experiencing stock trading and developing their own stock portfolio. Students are scheduled to participate in a videoconference with a New York City stock trader to pose questions about the stock market and careers in finance.
