Ohio Senate President to Address Ashland University Graduates

Ashland University to Host Chemistry Camp for Middle School Students

4/15/10 ASHLAND, Ohio --Ashland University will host Chemistry Can Be Fun Camp, a laboratory experience for middle grade students entering grades 7-9, offered with the Institute for Chemical Education.

Sessions will be held June 21-24 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at Ashland University's Kettering Science Center.

Ashland University Department of Music presents end-of-semester performances

4/15/10 ASHLAND, Ohio --The Department of Music at Ashland University presents two end-of-semester performances in the Center for the Arts. Both performances are free and open to the public.

Faculty Member in Ashland University's MFA Program Runner-up for Pulitzer Prize in Poetry

4/14/10 ASHLAND, Ohio --Angie Estes, a core poetry faculty member in Ashland University's Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (MFA) program, has been named runner-up for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize in Poetry for her poetry collection, "Tryst."

Dr. Stephen Haven, director of the MFA program, said Estes, who was hired at Ashland University in the spring of 2008 during the first year of the MFA program, teaches year round in the program.

Evansville Couple Donates to Ashland University's "Bringing Spirit to Campus" Campaign

4/11/10 ASHLAND, Ohio --An Evansville couple, Bob and Lisa Jones, have donated $250,000 to Ashland University for the construction of the new Athletic Complex at the University. The "Study Room" located in the end zone facility is named in their honor.

Bob and Lisa Jones are both 1979 graduates of Ashland. Bob has since served as a trustee of the University from 2000 to 2009 and was named Outstanding Alumnus of the Year in 2006.

Ashland University Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Named Ronald McDonald "House Hero"

4/8/10 ASHLAND, Ohio --Ashland University's Alpha Delta Pi sorority has been named a "House Hero" by the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland and will have a plaque dedicated in its honor on April 27.

Valerie Zeno, adviser for the Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi) sorority, said the recognition is based on the sorority's longtime relationship with the Ronald McDonald House.
