Academic Information

Insert the number of credit hours you will attend in the Summer 2019 term. You must be at least half-time status to receive federal loans as follows: (Undergraduate, Bachelor’s Plus -6 hours; Seminary-3 hours; MDIV-2 hours; MAHG-4 hours; all other graduate programs-3 hours). Teacher Certification students are not eligible to borrow federal loans. Private alternative loan options can be found at www.ashland.edu/student-loans.

Financial Aid Request

To learn how much you may borrow in loans, please read the FAQ’s on the Financial Aid website. To determine costs before submitting your request, review your program information at www.ashland.edu. Approved loan funds will credit to your account 10 days prior to the start of class, as long as you are enrolled for at least half-time hours.

MEd students in an Intervention Specialist degree program and some undergraduate, education majors may be eligible for the TEACH Grant in summer. Please follow the application instructions at www.ashland.edu/graduate/financial-aid under “TEACH Grant” at the left.

If you wish to allow the Financial Aid Office to speak to your spouse, parents or others regarding your financial aid records, submit an Authorization to Release Financial Aid Records and Information Form. The authorization form is available on the “Forms” section of www.ashland.edu/students/financial-aid for undergraduates or www.ashland.edu/graduate/financial-aid for graduates.

By submitting this application, you are confirming that the information is complete and accurate. Any changes or errors may require an adjustment to your financial aid award. Processing time takes up to 2 weeks and you will be notified via your AU email account when your financial aid award is ready to view on Web Advisor. New students for summer term will receive an award letter in the mail.
