Assistant Professor of Religion (Tenure-Track) - College of Arts and Sciences
A regional university historically related to the Brethren Church, Ashland University (www.ashland.edu), invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Religion in World Religions and Global Christianity.
The successful candidate will demonstrate abilities in effective classroom and on-line teaching and course development. Teaching load is eight (8) courses per year, including sections of the general education World Religions course, intermediate courses in Eastern and Western religious traditions, Global Christianity, and an upper-level course in the area of expertise. One (1) course a semester will be taught online in Ashland University's extensive Correctional Education program. The position includes oversight of the department's virtual courses for Correctional Education; administrative duties come with a two (2) course reassignment. This position supports the pre-seminary program and the Christian values of the university.
- PhD is required.
- Demonstrated abilities in effective classroom and on-line teaching and course development required. Academic administrative experience is desired.

- Commitment to undergraduate education for both traditional and non-traditional students.
- Active research agenda and a willingness to engage in service to the university.
