Assistant Professor of Software Engineering (Tenure-Track) - College of Arts and Sciences

The Departments of Mathematics and Computer Science at Ashland University invites applications for a tenure­-track Assistant Professor of Software Engineering position, beginning August 2020. The department offers majors in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Design and Development, Mathematics, and Actuarial Science.

Position Summary:

The teaching load is twelve (12) credit hours per semester primarily in support of the software design and development program. The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate courses including software architecture, software methodologies, software security, software quality assurance, distributed systems, and software maintenance/deployment. The successful candidate will provide service to the institution and develop a successful program of research, including mentoring undergraduate research.

Position Requirements:

A Ph.D. in Software Engineering or a Ph.D. in a strongly related field with a Master's degree in Software Engineering is required, along with three (3) months of teaching experience with demonstrated excellence.
