The Core courses at AU were some of the most engaging classes I've taken. They provided an opportunity for students to stretch beyond their majors, not only to consider other points of view, but also to bring their knowledge to the table. Additionally, there is no replacement for the wide-ranging relationships with professors from different departments. At the heart of the Core curriculum, however, is the goal to make a free-thinking individual with a solid base of knowledge. In this sense, the importance of the Core cannot be overstated.
