The Spring 2020 Commencement ceremony is Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 10 a.m. at the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex’s Miller Stadium off Broad Street. The procession will begin around 9:50 a.m. and all graduates are to assemble at 9:15 a.m. at the Ferguson Soccer Complex, which is just southwest of Miller Stadium. Information there will show you how to line up in the assigned areas according to the degree received. You should go to these areas and line up alphabetically.
The time schedule is as follows:
9:15 a.m. Graduates line up in assigned area, by degree, alphabetically and double line. During this lineup, each graduate will be given a card with his or her name and honors listed.
9:45 a.m. The marshal will lead graduates through from the Ferguson Soccer Complex to Miller Stadium.
9:50 a.m. The faculty will march between the double lines of graduates and both groups will then proceed to their assigned seats in Miller Stadium.
In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in Kates Gymnasium inside the Physical Education Center and lineup for all graduating students will be in the Conard Field House located just west of the Physical Education Center. Each undergraduate and graduate student will receive tickets for this indoor event, and you will be given these tickets when you pick up your cap and gown. Overflow seating will be available in the Student Center Eagles’ Nest and the Student Center Auditorium, where the ceremony will be broadcast live at each venue (see enclosed map for locations). The event also will be broadcast on the www.ashland.edu website.
