Ashland University’s 2014 Commencement will be held on May 10 at 10 a.m. at Miller Stadium, located in the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex off Broad Street. The speaker for the event will be Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder.
In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in Kates Gymnasium inside the Physical Education Center. If the ceremony is held indoors, tickets will be required for the event and each student will receive three tickets per graduate. To accommodate additional family members if the ceremony is moved indoors, the ceremony will be streamed live at www.ashland.edu and broadcast live in the Student Center Eagles’ Nest and the Student Center Auditorium.
The decision regarding the location of commencement will be made by 6:45 a.m. on the morning of Commencement and will be posted to the homepage at www.ashland.edu.
In addition to the Commencement ceremony, a Baccalaureate ceremony, coordinated by Student Senate and Religious Life, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9, in the Chapel. Graduating seniors and their families are encouraged to attend.
