The camp will be held June 23 to 26 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at Ashland University’s Kettering Science Center.

Participants will learn how to gather evidence, employ the scientific method and use forensic science tools to solve a crime.

This camp is for students with an interest in science who can work at grade level and at a moderately independent level. Students will be kept busy for the three hours, but they do need to be able to work efficiently and safely in a laboratory setting.

The material covered in this year’s camp will differ from material covered in last year’s camp. Alumni are welcome to attend and enrollment will be capped at 15.

The cost to enroll in the Fun With Forensic Chemistry Camp is $70. A $20 discount will be offered this year for multiple children in the same family, for a child whose sibling has attended a previous year or for a camp alumnus. A few scholarships are available for those who document need.

Registration and payment is required by May 23 and information and registration materials may be obtained by calling Brenda Rodeback at 419-289-5261 or by emailing Dr. Matt Arthur, professor of chemistry, at marthur@ashland.edu.

Start Date:
Monday, June 23, 2014 - 9:00am to Thursday, June 26, 2014 - 12:00pm
