The Ashland Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program will have an informational Open House on the Ashland University main campus, Saturday, October 15, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend, including those considering an application or accepted students who would like more information on what to expect during online semesters or at this summer’s residency program.
Interim Program Director, Dr. Dan Lehman, will present information on the details of our curriculum and study, including:
- the different genres in the program
- the nature of a low-residency MFA program
- the sequence of courses
- the cross-genre emphasis
- the experience of our two-week intensive summer residencies
- how non-residential online classes work
Admissions Representative T.J. Shannon and MFA Administrative Director Cassandra Brown will also be on hand to answer questions about the application process, summer residency, and more. After the presentation, participants may stay for a free lunch in our campus dining hall and a brief campus tour (weather permitting).
If you plan to attend the open house, please R.S.V.P. to Cassandra Brown by Wednesday, October 12 at email@example.com or 419.289.5098. You can also learn more about our low-residency MFA program at www.ashland.edu/mfa.
