This contemporary story follows eight small town, twenty-somethings who know each other from high school and share an impromptu time of mourning and celebration after the funeral of a mutual friend. Ms. Joy’s characters are drawn with funny, irreverent humor, empathy and compassion.

The Farm Theater in New York City has selected Ashland University Theatre as one of three colleges from across the country to participate in a College Collaboration project,.and has commissioned emerging playwright Lindsay Joy (The Rise and Fall of a Teenage Cyberqueen) to write a play to be performed at these colleges. Ashland University Theatre will be the first college to present the new work. Named after baseball’s farm system that develops new talent into Major League prospects, The Farm Theater cultivates artists, companies and projects through workshops, productions and mentoring.
