MFA Open House

The Ashland University low-residency MFA in Creative Writing Program will have an Open House on Saturday, March 21, from 1-2 p.m. on the Ashland University main campus, in Ashland, Ohio. Administrative Director Wendy Hall and Director Stephen Haven will present information about the MFA Program before opening the session to questions.

In particular, Stephen Haven will discuss...

  • the different genres in the program
  • the nature of a low-residency MFA program
  • the sequence of courses
  • the cross-genre emphasis
  • the experience of our two-week intensive summer residencies
  • how non-residential online classes work

An admissions representative will be available to field any questions about the application process as well.

The Open House will be held in Room 105 of the Dauch College of Business and Economics Building, which is located on College Avenue, near the intersection of Claremont and College avenues. Weather permitting, we’ll offer a brief tour of campus for anyone interested.

If you plan to attend the Open House, please R.S.V.P. to Wendy Hall:
