The Ashland MFA in Creative Writing Program is planning an informational Open House on Saturday, March 25, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. We welcome anyone considering our program as well as accepted students who would like more details on what to expect during online semesters or at this summer’s residency program.
Participants will meet with Dr. Joe Mackall, editor of River Teeth: A Journal of Nonfiction Narrative and long-time instructor with the program, and with Admissions Representative T.J. Shannon and MFA Administrative Director Cassandra Brown.
Topics will include
- the nature of a low-residency MFA program
- the sequence of courses
- the experience of our two-week intensive summer residencies
- how non-residential online classes work
- the application process
- any questions you may have
We will meet at the main campus in Ashland, Ohio, in Room 116 of the Dauch College of Business and Economics Building. After the information session, participants may stay for a free lunch in our campus dining hall and a brief campus tour (weather permitting).
If you plan to attend the open house, please R.S.V.P. by March 22 to Cassandra Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org.
