Bio

A former high school teacher with a B.A. from Xavier University and M.A. and Ph.D. from Ohio State University, David Fitzsimmons directs the integrated language arts program. He also specializes in narrative theory, American literature, modernism and the works of William Faulkner. In addition, he researches and produces visual texts, working as a freelance writer and photographer. One of six Sigma Pro Photographers in North America, Dr. Fitzsimmons publishes widely with magazines such as Popular Photography & Imagining and produces landscape and wildlife calendars. He has published Curious Critters and Animals of Ohio’s Ponds and Vernal Pools (Kent State University Press). Join one of his classes and explore the language arts in a whole new way!
