Kelly Meyer joined AU's Journalism & Digital Media Department in the fall of 2015. She has six years of broadcast journalism experience as a news producer, most recently at WJW- Fox 8 in Cleveland, OH. Kelly was part of the launch of the emmy-nominated weekend morning show in 2011. She's covered two presidential elections and breaking news stories such as the Chardon High School shooting and the escape of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight from a Cleveland home, where they were held captive for more than a decade. Kelly also worked at WNWO in Toledo, OH as an evening producer and KTVX in Salt Lake City, UT as a morning producer. She has a B.A. from Ashland University and M.A. from The University of Akron. Kelly began graduate school to further her education in the ever-changing media environment. Her research areas include audience engagement, media management, and social media.
