Paul Ditchey joined Ashland University’s Journalism & Digital Media department as an adjunct faculty member in the fall of 2016. He teaches JDM 133, Video Aesthetics I, and JDM 234, Studio Production. Professor Ditchey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and a master of Education in Educational Technology from Kent State University. He brings professional experience gained from a variety of roles in the video production field, including his time as editor for WJW Fox 8 in Cleveland and as television master control for KTHT TV 67 in Houston, Texas. Professor Ditchey currently works as a freelance professional EVS operator for ABC, CBS, ESPN, FOX and NBC remote productions, allowing him to bring the latest information and techniques into the classroom. In addition to his extensive experience in the field, he has been teaching TV production courses at the college level for 18 years.
