Communal meals during the summer residency are an important part of community building. All faculty and visiting writers take part in both lunch and dinner throughout the two weeks. Students are highly encouraged, but not required, to dine with the program. Students can choose between two meal plans: dinner only or both lunch and dinner. A light breakfast is provided each weekday prior to workshops. Students who opt out of the meal plan may join the program for lunches in the dining hall by paying at the register upon entering.

During the residency, lunch is served in the University Dining Hall ("Lower Convo"), and dinners are catered each night. A vegetarian option is provided at each meal. Additionally, all rooms on campus are equipped with full kitchens. Please notify the Administrative Director of dietary restrictions and special requests in advance.

Lunch and Dinner Meal Plan: $350
Dinner Only Option: $250
Lunch Only Option:  $110

Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance of the University.  A snack bar with dining and coffee selections in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center is open all day.
