Course Description:

Monitoring the growth of advanced learners is important in order to provide these students with effective instruction based on high expectations and individualized goals. Monitoring growth requires meaningful longitudinal measurement. For advanced learners, including students who are gifted, meaningful longitudinal measurement requires the use of assessment instruments that reliably locate the limits of what these learners know. Instructional plans that support continued intellectual growth depend on appropriate assessment data and instructional strategies and techniques, not just achievement.
