Course Description:

Welcome to Talented & Gifted: Working with High Achievers. This workshop will help you gain a better understanding of the talented and gifted student, methods used in identification, and strategies for instruction of these students in a inclusive classroom.  This workshop also covers major program models and methods of differentiating instruction to meet the rate and level of learning of those students identified.

Course Notes: 

This course may not fulfill the Professional Development requirement in the Ohio Operating Standards for Identification and Service of Students Who Are Gifted (Ohio Administrative Code 3301-51-15). Contact your gifted coordinator or administrator for approval prior to registration to ensure the course satisfies requirements for contact hours, instructor qualifications, and Ohio competencies, for your district. There is a two week minimum for course completion. For your maximum time, Ashland's academic calendar is September 1st through August 31st each year and you are required to complete your course within that academic calendar.  Within 24-48 hours of your registration you will receive an email from your course content provider that contains your course access information. 

 Also within 24 hours of your registration you should be able to establish a login for your student account here at Ashland, WebAdvisor. You can use WebAdvisor to view your registrations, see when your grade is posted, and print detailed receipts and grade reports. Please click here for instructions on obtaining a username and password.
