Course Description:
Teachers will participate in a bundle of online lectures delivered through Exceptional Child Product purchased by the district. After completing the courses in Special Education Law and IEP management the teachers will submit a written reflection on how this content will benefit their understanding of special education rules and regulations in the classroom setting.
Special education continues to be a topic that classroom teachers, administrators, and district personnel struggle to understand. This course will allow teachers the opportunity to review relevant information regarding special education and IEP management.
Implementation and Outcome:
Each learning video in the Exceptional Child series includes an assessment. Teachers will also be required to submit a reflection assigment summarizing the impact their learning will have on their classroom instructional strategies.
