Course Description:

The High AIMs Summer Institute held on July 28-29, 2021, at Princeton High School will offer keynote addresses by Chad Littlefield and Adam Welcome. Breakout sessions will offer opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills, collaborate with teachers and administrators, interact with our keynoters, and share experiences with other educators. Sessions will be offered by national, regional, and local experts, as well as, ‘lessons from the field’ offered by local teachers with expertise in a particular area. 

 

Agenda for each day

 

July 28

8:30-9:30 - Welcome and Keynote address by Adam Welcome

Implementation and Outcome:

Students will use their learning to design improved/innovative instructional methods in their own classrooms. An application paper is required.

Students will select and participate in 2 keynote addresses and breakout sessions that fit with their personal professional develop goals as approved by their school districts. They will submit a paper detailing how the learning from these sessions will impact their professional growth and classroom environment, and the effectiveness of their teaching.

 

10:15-4:00 Breakout sessions of participant’s choice (Breakout sessions vary in length- 45 min., 90 min., ½ day.)
