OSPA CONFERENCE-SUPPORTING STUDENTS WITH AUTISM
Ms. Leist will review the legal requirements for identifying and serving students with autism and discuss common challenges presented by parents and advocates, such as gathering sufficient data to properly identify students, using evaluation results from outside agencies, and crafting effective IEPs for scholarship students. The presenter will also explore ethical and licensure concerns practitioners commonly face.
