Fashion Merchandising Student Organizations

FAO (Fashion in Action Organization)

The mission of the Ashland University’s Fashion in Action Organization (FAO) is to provide help to Fashion Merchandising and/or Ashland students interested in the fashion industry to gain hands on experience in the fashion industry by providing opportunities for students to get involved in social and professional events and activities that express and improve their skills related to fashion.

The Fashion in Action organization works with other organizations on campus (ex. SAAC) to bring awareness to great causes such as Make a Wish, as well as working with outside organizations to raise awareness and material for causing such as domestic abuse and poverty. Each year in the fall FAO holds a clothing drive to support one of their causes. FAO also organizes the NYC trip for the fashion classes. The NYC trip allows the students to see first-hand the big city and one of the biggest fashion capitals in the world.
