Dr. Jack Harpool
Dr. Jack D. Harpool, professional instructor, joined Ashland University in 2008. He is an accomplished author in the area of information systems and design, having written numerous college-level textbooks used nationally and internationally at over 350 U.S. and international universities.
He has served as a consultant both to the Federal Government and to commercial businesses. He has worked as a senior plans and operations information technology (IT) consultant to the Pentagon with a Top Level Secret Security Clearance, working under the Secretary of the US Army, Department of Defense on special classified IT projects.
As a senior program manager to an international Fortune 500 company, he was responsible for implementing hospital and long-term care management information systems in New York and in Ohio. He has designed and implemented the MBA Project Management Distance Learning (internet) core specialization curricula for Ashland University, Ashland Ohio.
He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and currently Ashland University’s lead professor in the MBA project management program. He is a graduate of the University of Akron, Ohio and the US Army Command and General Staff College (retired rank Lieutenant Colonel). He has a Contractor’s License (bonded) and CEO of his own consulting company.
