Dr. Robert Cyders
Dr. Bob Cyders continues his long professional association with the university, serving as a Professional Instructor. Dr. Cyders comes to AU fulltime faculty after serving 8 years with the Ohio Department of Education as a member of the School Improvement Diagnostic Review team Previously, he served as a curriculum consultant and team leader with the Mid-Ohio Education Service Center, in the central office and as an elementary principal in the Dalton Local School District, as the Curriculum Coordinator for the Ohio Tech Prep initiative and 22 years as a middle and high school mathematics teacher.
Dr. Cyders has extensive experience in staff development design and implementation. He has been a trainer for the the Ohio Mathematics Academy Program, the Lenses on Learning program sponsored by the Ohio Principal's Leadership Academy, and the national Mathematics Achievement through Problem Soliving initiative. In addition Dr. Cyders was instrumental in the organizational and curriculum design of College-NOW, one of the state models for dual enrollment-dual credit programs.
Dr. Cyders received his Ph.D. from the Ohio University, a Master of Education from Ashland University, a Master of Science from Marshall University and a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Wooster.
