MS/MSN to DNP Program

Step 1. Prepare for the Experience

In order to succeed in the BSN-DNP program, applicants need to be prepared. Applicants should:

  • Have one year of clinical experience
  • Take one undergraduate- or graduate-level statistics course
  • Have an advanced state practice licensure (COA)

 Step 2. Apply

Applicants should send the following forms, along with a $30 application fee:

  • Completed application
  • Copy of RN state licensure
  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae

Step 3. Write a DNP Project Essay

Submit an essay that discusses your proposed clinical area of interest for DNP project. Also include a title page and references. The essay may be sent to the address in step 2.

Step 4. Request Official Transcripts

Contact the registrar at every college where coursework was attempted and request that an official transcript be sent directly to the address in step 2.

Step 5. Ask for Recommendation Letters

Applicants must request one academic, one professional and one personal recommendation letters. These can be sent directly to the address in step 2.

Step 6. Interview

Applicants will be contacted to set up an interview as part of their application process.
