Employers and Recruiters Seeking Student Connections
Ashland University is excited for you to recruit our talented students! We ask that you connect with us and the Career Center for Life Calling through Handshake. We use this platform to connect our students with professional organizations so they can apply for the jobs and internships available to them.
With a Handshake account, you can connect directly with the Ashland University community, post jobs, hold virtual informational sessions, schedule interviews and search for students and graduates seeking employment. You will also be notified of invitations and announcements for recruiting events and hiring opportunities for students.

Methods of Connection
The Career Center for Life Calling wants you to make connections with our students! We are happy to provide multiple options for connecting with students. For more information on availability and scheduling, contact our office at 419-289-5064 or CCLC-AU@ashland.edu.
One-On-One Job Interviews
Perform virtual one-on-one job interviews with your choice of applicants. We’ll help you pre-schedule an interview date and select an application deadline for the position you intend to fill. We’ll promote the position to potential candidates, collect applicant resumes and submit collected resumes for your review. Once you’ve chosen the candidates you’d like to interview, our team will arrange interviews on the pre-scheduled interview date and provide all involved parties with the means to connect.

Information Tables
Temporarily Suspended Due to COVID-19
Staff an information table in a university common area to personally notify students of employment opportunities. Bring business cards, presentations, props, pamphlets, trinkets, treats—anything you can think of to help promote the opportunities available through your organization.

Resume Drops
Acquire resumes quickly and efficiently by having candidates drop them off for review. You’ll provide us with the details of your request and our team will send out a short communication with relevant information. We’ll send it to a wide variety of individuals to maximize coverage, but all of them will be appropriate for the position you wish to fill. We’ll inform applicants when and where to drop off their resumes, which will be sent to you after the drop is complete.

Virtual Visits to Classrooms and/or Student Organizations
Visit specific classes and/or student organizations through virtual means to give insight on your industry. Young professionals eagerly want to hear from established masters in their line of work to get insider expertise and expand their burgeoning network. You can expect students to gain interest in your organization and make connections before their job hunt even begins.

Virtual Meet-and-Greet Sessions
Meet and greet potential job candidates through virtual meet-and-greet sessions, maximizing your coverage during the search for the best candidate. You’ll also be able to talk with candidates, inform them about your organization and interests and receive their resumes for your consideration.

Virtual Information Sessions
Imagine an information table, but without the distraction of the outside world. Host a virtual information session and present your organization, employment opportunities and message to potential candidates.
