ETHICS, ABUSE & NEGLCT
Would you like to learn how to minimize risk by avoiding three common mistakes that educators make as they navigate ethical and legal challenges surrounding confidentiality, and reporting abuse and neglect? Join us for this interactive, collegial, fast-paced workshop in which we learn how to keep our careers intact by practicing ethically as we serve our students and community. Topics include: Understanding and intervening with child abuse and neglect, Understanding Ohio Rev. Code§ 2151.421 that requires that educators report suspected instances of child abuse or neglect, Following an ethical decision making model, and Case studies of recent dilemmas that could put your license at risk. This workshop also includes an update from Franklin County Children Services about what educators need to know about abuse and neglect.
