Course Description:

The main objectives of this 3-part seminar, "The Importance of Read Aloud," (K-12) are to examine the power of read-aloud time in the classroom, discuss how to choose read-aloud books (fiction, information, poetry), make connections to the core standards and read-aloud, view and discuss many read-aloud books, and develop lesson labs involving read-aloud books.
