Georgine S Collette
Georgine Collette is the Director of Professional Development Services for Ashland University Columbus Center. She promotes, develops, administers and provides leadership for all of the professional development services at the Columbus Center. Prior to serving in this role, she served 35 years in public education, all with South-Western City Schools, as a special education teacher, a regular education teacher, the LPDC Facilitator & Staff Developer and Coordinator of Summer Academy. She finished her service there as the Coordinator of Professional Development.
Georgine holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Special Education and completed her Masters in Early & Middle Childhood Education at Ohio State University where she also earned her Supervision Certification. She has also served as an Educational Consultant with the Ohio Department of Education and the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio. She served as a State Trainer and Module Developer for the Ohio Resident Educator Program.
Georgine and her husband, Frank, live in Hilliard, Ohio. They are the parents of two daughters, Elizabeth & Maria. Elizabeth just completed her Masters in School Counseling and now works at Bishop Hartley. Maria is in her first year of graduate school in public health.
