Renee Yoder comes to Ashland University after working for NASA for the past 17 years in several different capacities. Most recently, she managed the NASA CORE business office, which serves as a non-profit, world-wide distribution center for NASA’s educational materials. In this role, she managed a staff of 11 full- and part-time employees. Prior to her NASA experience, she served several districts as a teacher.
In her new role as director of Professional Development Services and director of the Bachelor Plus Program, Yoder will work out of both the Elyria Center, which is located at the Lorain Community College, and the Cleveland Center, which is located at the Cuyahoga Educational Service Center.
She will be responsible for assisting school districts in their quest to offer quality professional development opportunities earning Ashland University graduate credit. She also will help college graduates with non-educational backgrounds who are interested in pursuing teaching careers.
Yoder earned her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Ashland University in 2012. She and her family reside in Wadsworth. She can be reached at 800.995.5222.
