Center Offered: CPD

Course Description:

Low performing, disengaged students challenge counselors, educators and administrators. They also add additional challenges for the substitute teacher.  We spend a great deal of time and energy looking for motivational and remedial strategies that will "fix" a student and make him/her better.  What if a philosophical change could make a difference?

This workshop will address current educational changes with a continued focus on increasing student, as well as teacher expectations.  Instructional strategies will be modeled including small group and symposium discussions.  Appropriate speakers will be invited to share their expertise.  $5 materials fee payable to instructor
