This workshop, taught by Master Teaching Artists, Dr. Marla Butke and Dr. David Frego, presents the tenets of Dalcroze Eurhythmics, the study of purposeful movement, solfege, and piano improvisation to music educators in the classroom or studio. This experiential workshop will provide meaningful ways to include movement rooted in the philosophy of Dalcroze to meet national and state education standards, and to provide authentic assessment opportunities. The presenters will teach personal musicianship along with pedagogy and applications of Eurhythmics. No experience is necessary and different skill levels will be taught. A participant can choose to work towards the certification process for the American Eurhythmics Society by attending this training workshop. Please contact Marla Butke at email@example.com for more information and questions. This class is offered for 1, 2 or 3 semester hours. This class has an additional fee of $450.00.
