Course Description:

The main objectives of this seminar, "Enhancing the Diverse Classroom (K-12)," are the imporatnce and understanding of the diverse classroom, overview of the book, Keeping It Real and Relevan (2017), strengthening relationship building in a diverse classroom, strategies to use in the diverse classroom to improve the social, emotional, and academic needs of students, and reviewing characteristics that enhance teachers to be successful in diverse classrooms.

The book will be given to participants and discussed.  Through the book, handouts, DVD, and discussions, teachers will gain useful strategies to use to reach all students n the diverse classroom.  These strategies will help students reach their greatest potential.

Workshop:  Friday (4:30 pm - 9:15 pm); Saturday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
