Course Description:

Students who struggle with written expression often require direct, systematic instruction in the fundamentals of penmanship, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, syntax, and paragraph construction.  This workshop will introduce participants to a variety of techniques, strategies and materials for teaching students how to write declarative, imperative, interrogative and exclamatory sentences, and how to organize eight types of paragraphs.  Materials demonstrated will include the Apple Tree Writing Curriculum, Stevenson’s Essential Grammar, Project Read’s "Framing Your Thoughts", Rewards Writing, and related instructional tools.  For more information and questions please contact Tom Diebold at
