YOU MUST BE A TEACHER FOR MASON SCHOOLS TO PARTICIPATE
This class will provide teachers an opportunity for job-embedded professional development experience through the action research cycle. Teams will focus on developing common instructional or intervention plans including common assessments that integrate high-impact research-based instructional strategies associated with improved student learning. After implementing the instructional plans, they will examine formative and summative assessment data, samples of student work, classroom artifacts, and personal reflections to determine interventions for struggling students and modifications for future instructional plans. They will also engage in collaborative activities such as demonstration classrooms and instructional rounds to provide feedback and support that will improve teacher expertise.
